Email us:Changing Your Membership Plan Type
If you wish to change your existing membership to a different membership plan type, please contact the Membership Secretary at membership@tongue-tie.org.uk to arrange this.
Please do not cancel your existing membership and set up a new profile unless you are happy for your membership expiry date and payment dates to be revised. **Setting up a new membership may result in a new annual subscription and a different membership period.
Please note: Refunds are not provided for membership payments, in accordance with the ATP Terms and Conditions.
Changing or Updating Your Password

Changing, Updating or Resetting Your Password
Your 'Join-It' password is unique to your membership account and is separate from the password used to access the members-only areas of the ATP website. Each member therefore has two different passwords.
Your Two Passwords
- 'Join-It' password
This is the password you set for your individual 'Join-It' membership account. You can also enable two-factor authentication for additional security.
- ATP website members-only password
This is the password used to access the members-only ‘native’ pages of the ATP website. It is also used as the promo code for the 25% membership discount in the ATP online shop.
The ATP website password is updated annually and is emailed to members when it changes. To receive these emails, please make sure you are subscribed to our email communications.
The updated password is also shared through:
- The welcome ‘Post’ in 'Join-It'.
- Our members-only closed Facebook group, where it is shared as a featured post.
- The footer of all of our emails.
- Our membership newsletter.
- You are also advised of any changes through our mailchimp communications
Important: The ATP website password is for members' use only and must not be shared outside the membership. Sharing the password with anyone who is not a member is a breach of our Terms and Conditions. If the password is shared or compromised, it may need to be changed for all members.
Changing or Resetting Your 'Join-It' Password
- Please log in to your profile as described in the previous section.
- If you are unable to remember your current password for your 'Join-It' membership, select ‘Password reset’ from the login page and follow the instructions to reset your password.
- When creating your 'Join-It' account, you will be guided to set your own password when you first log in.
- If you wish to add additional security to your account, you can enable ‘two-factor authentication’.

Keeping Your Personal Data Secure
Persoanl Data SecurityPersonal Data Security
Your personal information and membership data are protected by 'Join-It' using a range of security measures designed to keep your information safe.
'Join-It' uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) to protect information transferred between your browser and its servers. Payment card information is handled directly by Stripe rather than being stored on 'Join-It' servers, providing an additional layer of security for payment information.
'Join-It' also uses automated, multi-layered data backups to protect against data loss and provides additional account security through optional two-factor authentication (2FA). 'Join-It' also supports GDPR-related data protection rights.
For further information about how 'Join-It' protects and secures member data, please refer to their guidance:

Accessing Your Digital ID Card

Accessing Your Digital ID Card
Your digital ID card provides a convenient way to show your membership and can be particularly useful when attending a patient, where visual identification may be needed, or when proof of membership is required.
Each membership plan has its own digital ID card, with your main membership plan recommended for use as your professional identification (Full, Affiliate and International, Student, Retired or Honorary).
You can add your portrait image when editing your personal details. The photograph uploaded to your account profile will appear on your digital ID card. While logos or avatars can be used, a professional photograph is recommended where the card is being used for identification.
To access your digital ID card:
It is recommended that you access your digital ID card from your mobile device as you can store it in your digital wallet.
- In the top right-hand corner of your profile, where your name is displayed, select the drop-down menu and then select ‘Account Settings’. Alternatively, you can select the green ‘Go to Membership’ button and then scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Select ‘View Membership Card’ and then ‘Send Card’. The card will be sent to the email address linked to your profile.
Please note: The version of the card sent to your email may not include the QR code or your photograph. This can vary depending on your email or server provider. Once you complete the next step, these should appear in your digital wallet.
Follow the instructions in the email to upload your digital ID card to your Google Wallet or Apple Wallet.

Cancelling Your Membership

Cancelling Your Membership
If you wish to cancel your membership, you can choose whether to remain a member until the end of your current annual subscription or cancel your membership with immediate effect.
Please consider the impact on any Directory Listings and the fact that membership payments are non-refundable before completing your cancellation.
To cancel your membership:
- Please log in to your profile as described in the previous section.
- Select ‘Cancel Membership’ at the bottom of the page listing any plans linked to your email address and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your cancellation.
- You will be asked to confirm when you would like your membership to end. As membership plans are annual subscriptions for the year ahead, you can choose to remain a member for the remainder of your current membership term and not auto-renew; OR cancel your membership with immediate effect.
Cancelling your membership will also trigger the removal of any current Directory Listing entries you hold. You must also confirm the termination of your Directory Listing by completing the amendment form on the ATP website:
https://www.tongue-tie.org.uk/directorylistings#ListingAmendmentForm
In accordance with the ATP CIO Membership Terms and Conditions, Section 5 ‘Financial Terms’, refunds are not issued for termination of membership subscriptions:
Managing Your Directory Listing

Directory Listings
The Directory provides members with an opportunity to advertise their services to the public for a fee. Directory Listings are subject to the existing ATP application and approval process.
How Directory Listings Work with 'Join-It'
The 'Join-It' platform is used solely to manage the financial aspect of Directory Listings. It does not change or affect the ATP approval process.
All listings continue to follow the current ATP approval process, including the use of an amendment form where applicable.
'Join-It' is simply used to manage payment alongside your membership plan.
Applying for a New Directory Listing
All new Directory Listings must be applied for using the Listings Application Form and are subject to approval.
Please refer to the Listings Policy, which can be found on the ‘Constitution & Policies’ page or in the footer of the ATP website.
Primary and Additional Clinic Listings
- To register a directory listing entry, you must hold a Full or Honorary plan
- If you have more than one Directory Listing, your primary entry must be either a ‘Home Visit’ plan or a ‘Primary Clinic’ plan.
- Additional clinic entries can be purchased for per clinic using the additional plan option.
- If you have multiple additional clinic listings, adjust the quantity of clinics before completing your purchase and enter all locations in the corresponding field.
- You cannot purchase a additional clinic listing without a primary clinic or Home Visit Directory Listing also.
