Members:
ATP members are the backbone of the ATP community. Our membership continues to grow, strengthening the organisation and expanding its reach. Without our members, there is no organisation; they are the foundation on which ATP stands. It is our members who drive the aims of ATP, shaping and advancing our shared commitment to support, education, awareness, and advocacy for the infants and families we serve. Members play a vital role in championing infant health and wellbeing, raising awareness, promoting best practice, advocating for infants’ feeding and oral health needs, and supporting families through knowledge and guidance at local level, ensuring that infants and families have a strong voice in their care.
ATP members are warmly encouraged to become involved as volunteers in projects and objectives, however small their contribution may be, to help drive the organisation’s aims and shape its future direction. Members are invited to participate in forums, collaborate in audits to help build a national picture, attend regional meetings, and participate in study days and conferences. Ideas, suggestions, and comments are welcomed and can be put forward for further discussion at meetings. Members who wish to get involved or express interest are encouraged to contact the Secretary at secretary@tongue-tie.org.uk. Full members hold voting rights, allowing them to vote on matters such as the election of trustee members, approval of changes to the constitution or key policies, and decisions discussed at Annual, Special or Extraordinary General Meetings, ensuring a direct voice in the governance and strategic direction of the organisation.
All members pay an annual subscription and are expected to adhere to the ATP membership terms and conditions, including compliance with ATP policies, the organisation’s constitution, and the World Health Organisation (WHO) International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes (1981). These standards ensure that ATP operates with integrity, professionalism, and a shared commitment to ethical practice across the community.
